Yogi ram surat kumar also called as kottang kuchi swamigal was born near kasi. And came into tiruvannamalai to realize god .He visited ramanamaharishi and had a quest for self realisation.But he had no result and then he went to pappa ram das who was enlightened with the grace of ramanamaharishi.yogi went to kerala to meet pappa ram das and was enlightened through him.after that he lived a life of divine and gave his full support to all his disciple .ram surat gave people his father name"yogi ram surat kumar jaya guru raya"
.yogi formed his ashram in tiruvannamalai and even after his maha samadhi still today he is pouring hios grace towards people approaching him.
