Boddhi dharma was the first patriot of the great spiritual path " THE ZEN BUDDISM " .Bhoddhidharma was a pallava kings younger son who ruled over from kanchipuram,tamilnadu.At that tamil the pallava dynasty was following buddhism.And bodhidharma became the disciple of manushri a female enlightened.Bodhidharmma also enlightened by the grace of manjushri.bhoddidharma went to china to spread his message there.through him the new category of buddhism was developed in japan.and bodhidharma was also claimed to b the father of kung fu in china which has its origin from kalaribaite of india,kerala,tamilnadu.
It is a pride of the tamil people to have such master from our soil.
